Undergraduate Programs
Degree programs in applied mathematics, computer science, and engineering sciences and secondary field options in mathematical sciences and computer science
Our goal is to educate students who excel in engineering and applied science, but also have a working knowledge of other disciplines. In keeping with our emphasis on broad-minded learning we’ve designed programs and courses that cater to students at multiple levels.
Concentrations and Secondary Fields
Applied Mathematics (A.B.; A.B./S.M.)
Applied Mathematics allow you to specialize in areas of application such as biological sciences, economics, engineering, computer science, among others.

Engineering Sciences (A.B.; A.B./S.M.; S.B.)
For the Engineering Sciences degree, we offer an A.B. degree option as well as an ABET-accredited S.B. that requires about four more additional technical courses than the A.B. The S.B. program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012-telephone: (410) 347-7700.
Within the concentration, students may pursue work on a variety of topics, with tracks in five distinct areas:
- Biomedical Sciences and Engineering
- Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
- Engineering Physics (A.B. only)
- Environmental Sciences and Engineering
- Mechanical and Materials Sciences and Engineering
