CS124 Announcements
Fri May 2, 1997
- PS10 schedule and group list is posted
here.
Please let me know of any changes as soon as possible.
- There has been some confusion about the one-page
limit. We expect a good summary of the algorithm on the
first page. You may submit additional pages that include
detailed proofs of things you claim in your summary,
diagrams, etc.
- Every solution should have a matrix formulation. If
you find another solution that is not easily described
in the matrix representation, please include
it in both your write-up and your presentation. You
will receive extra credit if it is good!
Wed Apr 30, 1997
- PS10 will be presented on Wed May 7th. The schedule

same groups as before.

Location and time of day will be posted here soon.

- Your pathetic TF, abhi, spent the wee-hours of the
day grading. Blurry-eyed and exhausted, he failed to finish them all.
Alas, they shall be available before the exam.
Apologies

- Please put the name of collaborators on your assts.
- There have been a few minor changes to the Asst6
handout that was given in class; please check
the web for the latest version.
- The midterm review willl be held on Sunday, Mar 16 at 3pm
in Aiken 101. HT assures us that the midterm will
be straighforward, only intended to test "whether students
have done the reading and understand the algorithms."
No on-the-spot creativity necessary...
- Asst4 will be graded by Thu, please pick them
up from Raquel.
- abhi has to cancel his Thu office hours-- in fact,
he will be outta town until Sunday.
- Solutions to asst4 will be posted by Thu.
- We have decided that Spring Break counts as 1 late
day. Here is a timetable to be explicit:
Fri Mar 21 | Sat Mar 22 |
Sat Mar 29 | Sun Mar 30 |
ontime! | 1 day late |
2 days late | 3 days late |
Hey, if you want to think about algorithms over
spring break, all the power to you!
Feb. 18, 1997
The section meeting place has changed to Science Center Room 110. Also homeworks are to be placed in my
mailbox in the Pierce 110 Lab. Please do not place homeworks in Prof. Kung's mail slot. I am not
responsible for those homeworks that are not placed in my mailbox. To minimize confusion, homeworks are now
due on Fridays at 5:00 p.m. No late homeworks will be accepted.
