Chongzheng joined the group on 3/1/06. He holds degrees from Tsinghua University, China (BS), Penn State (MS), and the University of Michigan (Ph.D.), all in environmental engineering. His graduate work was in the areas of reaction kinetics/mechanism and emerging drinking water contaminants. He is currently studying surface oxidation and adhesion using scanning probe microscopy (SPM) such as atomic force microscopy (AFM) and its electrostatic and electrodynamic variations.
