Faculty, students, and researchers in applied mathematics and related areas have numerous opportunities to collaborate and meet.

  • Ice Cream Social

    Each Thursday (during regular term time) at 3.30 the SEAS Graduate Student Life Committee hosts an ice cream social/gathering.

  • ABCD Group

    The ABCD Group is an informal association of system managers, programmers, researchers, students, administrators, and faculty at Harvard University and its affiliated institutions in the Boston area. The group's primary objective is to promote communication over a broad range of computer related topics and issues.

Affiliated Activities

  • Da Vinci Group

    A group of ~25 members have recently come together as the da Vinci Group on the basis of their shared belief that the next round of fundamental advances in the life sciences will emerge by viewing biological processes in a very different way: as manifestations of the fundamental principles that apply to all types of systems non-biological and biological.

  • Harvard Computing Contest Club

    The undergraduate Harvard Computing Contest Club competes in competitions such as ICFP, ACM, or CSGames.

  • Center for Research on Computation and Society

    The Center for Research on Computation and Society (CRCS) brings computer scientists together with a broad range of researchers to tackle fundamental computational problems arising from societal issues, such as privacy and security, digital copyrights, and file sharing.

  • Cyberinfrastructure Lab (CI Labs)

    CIT's research computing group (called the Cyberinfrastructure Lab (CI Labs) is responsible for is responsible for high performance computing resources at the School; consulting for faculty, researcher, and student research projects; and collaboration with vendors to bring advanced technology to SEAS.
