About the Event
The launch of the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences celebrates our past as well as the recent renewal and emergence of engineering and applied sciences at Harvard.
Our transition from a “Division” to a “School” is not a departure from history—but in some sense, the wheel is coming full circle.
The Lawrence School, our progenitor, will be reborn in a new
form appropriate for the 21st century.
Our vision is to be a nationally prominent and distinct program of engineering and applied sciences that provides a broad and well-rounded education for undergraduates; advances the boundaries and pursuit of knowledge; and makes a significant and positive contribution to the human condition.
