Okechukwu Abana was born and raised in Nigeria. He moved to the US at the age of eighteen to earn a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Howard University, Washington, DC. He developed keen interest in mathematics and physics as a teenager, and through motivation from his parents, he decided to pursue a college degree in engineering. He likes meeting people, and he plays soccer, basketball, tennis etc.
