Louis Paul Romero is a product from the “Salad Bowl of the World,” Salinas, California, grown about 30 miles south of the world’s produce capital in an underserved, impoverished, and rural town named Greenfield. As of spring 2017, he is a student at Hartnell Community College in Salinas that is relentlessly working hard towards an Associate in Science for Transfer degree in engineering. In fall 2017, he will be applying for transfer to a University of California to pursue electrical engineering; his aspirations are to be a professor and researcher. His research interests include contributing to a deeper understanding of quantum computing, microprocessors, memory, drive controllers and artificial intelligence.
