Dr. Christopher J. McNamara

 

Chris McNamara received his Ph.D. in ecology in 2001 from Kent State University.  He has worked in the lab since 2001, first as a Postdoctoral Fellow, and currently as a Research Associate.  He also has an appointment as a Research Associate in the Department of Environmental Health in the Harvard School of Public Health.

Dr. Nick Konkol

 

Nick Konkol received his B.S. Biological Sciences in 2000 from the  University Wisconsin Milwaukee and his Ph.D. in Microbiology in 2007 from Marquette University.  For his thesis, Nick studied microbial populations associated with geothermal features in Yellowstone National Park.  His postdoctoral research focuses on early detection of fungi on library materials, removal of microbial pigments from historic stone, fungal adhesion and fungal biofilms.

Mr. Brandon P. Ross

 

Brandon Ross is an undergraduate majoring in Biochemistry.  Brandon has worked in the lab for three years.

Ms. Norma Stewart, C.H.A.

 

Norma Stewart is Professor Ralph Mitchell's Administrative Manager.  She supports Professor Mitchell with his teaching, research and professional duties in the US and Abroad.  Norma loves to cook and enjoys publishing novels..

Prof. Marc W. Mittelman

 

Marc Mittelman is a Visiting Professor in the Laboratory of Applied Microbiology. He teaches microbiology at Bristol Community College, and has an active consulting practice in the field of microbial surface contamination. Marc’s research interests are in mechanisms of microbial adhesion to surfaces and novel antimicrobials.
