The goal of the Biosensors: Engineering Concepts and Medical Applications workshop is to provide a thought-provoking and interactive forum to share the latest discoveries and advances by Harvard faculty and students. The workshop also plays a key role in enabling the process of technology transfer, and creates an environment which fosters collaborative research partnerships.

This workshop will discuss how research at the intersection of engineering and medicine in the multidisciplinary area of biosensors can address current medical, health care, economic and global health needs.  By developing portable, low-cost biosensors, we can promote good health in the US and worldwide. The talks will provide a background for current innovations in biosensor technologies and their applications for society.

The workshop will be followed by a networking reception and poster session where researchers will present their latest cutting edge technologies.
