Short description
The malvern "Gemini HR-nano"
rheometer is the state of the art stress-controlled
rheometer from malvern instruments. This instrument is
currently mounted on top of our Noran confocal microscope
for simultaneous imaging and rheology experiments. While it
is mainly dedicated for this purpose, the machine can also
be used for rheology only. The rheometer is situated in the
confocal lab (McKay 519, across the hall from the rheology
lab).
- Integrated into a "optical rheometer" with our Noran
confocal microscope
- Uses same geometries as the bohlin
- Easy to use, many geometries to choose from
- Reliable measurements down to very low torques
(<100 nNm)

Reserve it
- If anything unusual happens during use, please ask
one of the people responsible for the rheometers. If the
main air pressure drops below 70 psi,
stop all measurements, do not touch the tools and contact
one of the following emergency contacts:

Measuring Geometries
All available tools can also
be used on the bohlin C-VOR and the bohlin CS rheometers.
