Our group has a confocal microscope. We previously ran a confocal microscope facility at the University of Pennsylvania, and we had many users from outside our group, including people from other schools and the real world (industry). We are continuing our open door policy at Harvard, and invite anybody who is interested to contact us or just stop by (we're in McKay 517). Our facility has a wide range of capabilities and we enjoy trying to look at new and unusual samples. In practice, some people just want to get a nice picture or two of their sample, which we can help with; other people have long-term needs, and we can train you so that you can come by as often as you need.

When you want to use the confocal microscope, email me with the day & times you'd like to be scheduled for. If you need training, just check with me to see when I'd be free to help you. If you have any questions, just let me know! My name is Itai Cohen, and my email is: icohen@deas.harvard.edu.

We are planning to buy some video cameras and set up VCRs and a computer so that people can record and digitize videos (in other words, use the microscopes as regular microscopes rather than confocal microscopes). When this is set up, you can reserve time for the regular microscopes, and the cameras & VCR, as well as for the confocal.
