A five minute movie of individual tubulin molecules in a spindle projected onto a single image. Each track correspnds to the trajectory of an individual tubulin molecule. The trajectories were colored based on the lifetime of that tubulin molecule on the spindle: blue: less than twenty seconds, yellow: between twenty and fifty seconds, and red: greater than fifty seconds. There is no obvious pattern in the location of tubulin molecules with particular lifetimes, indicating that tubulin dynamics are not spatially regulated in spindles..
