Experimental Soft Condensed Matter Group Harvard University, Prof. D. A. Weitz Group Meeting Schedule

Group meetings are usually held on Tuesday evenings at 6PM. Each meeting will have presentations from 3 different people, one from each of the general sub-groups in our group: colloids, biophysics and microfluidics. They are meant to be informal presentations and discussions of current work being undertaken by group members--more show-and-tell of preliminary data, technical problems, serendipitous discoveries and future directions and less of polished presentations. They serve to provide members of the group with a more detailed sense of the research being done by their fellow labmates and to also provide a forum through which the presenter can receive feedback, suggestions and guidance.

Guidlines for speakers:

You will have 30 minutes to present. In that time, you should spend at most 5 minutes telling us an overview of what you are doing and why it is interesting and important, then 5 minutes of the major results you have that you have understood and then 10 minutes describing the one or two most pressing questions you have that you don't understand. We will then have 10 minutes to discuss these.
