Siya is a B.S. Mechanical Engineering Candidate in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University. His previous undergraduate research experiences were focused on the synthesis of silicon nanowires for thin film photovoltaics.
His senior thesis is on exploring new geometries for ultra-thin membrane based solid oxide fuel cells. A dry etch process is being explored to improve the mechanical stability and to significantly increase specific energy of high-performance micro solid oxide fuel cells for portable energy.
