The movie shows a drop of hexadecane in water entering a channel with an obstruction (a post of diameter=80 microns). There exists a critical value of the Capillary number, Ca, at which the drop will break. We are here below this value (Ca=0.015) and an instability will make the drop go past the post without breaking.
