Zoom Video Conferencing
- Easy-to-use video conferencing tool
- Can be used on laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and in conference rooms
- Access is provided through HarvardKey with a single sign-on (SSO) process
- Meeting attendees do not need to have a Zoom account to participate in a Zoom meeting
- Available as desktop application or website
How to access Harvard Zoom account
Go to https://harvard.zoom.us, click "Sign in" button, and use HarvardKey to log in.
Zoom meeting details: key information to share with meeting participants
- Meeting link
- Phone number
- Meeting ID
Preparing to host or participate in a Zoom meeting
- Test Zoom software in advance
- Configure your computer settings
- Ensure appropriate connections and adapters for computer
- Consider room set-up
- Mute pop-ups/alerts such as email
- Prep content for screen sharing
- Familiarize yourself with meeting controls such as gallery view, mute/unmute
- Always have a back-up plan in case of tech issues
For large meetings with many participants
- Set up USB webcam and microphone(s) as necessary
