Bicycle Transportation

Over the past decade, the University has made extensive improvements in bicycle connectivity throughout Harvard’s campus. Currently, protected bike lanes are being created on Quincy and DeWolfe streets, in Cambridge, and along Western Avenue in Allston, adjacent to the SEC.

Bike Parking

There are 570 bicycle parking spots near the Science and Engineering Complex. Over 400 of these are secured and/or covered spots.

All campus bike parking locations can be found at map.harvard.edu

All bikes on campus should be registered with HUPD:

BlueBikes

Harvard also has a partnership BlueBikes, metro-Boston's public bike share system, and Harvard affiliates are eligible for a discount. In Allston, there are three BlueBikes stations along Western Avenue and North Harvard Street; in Cambridge there are Harvard-supported stations on Oxford Street between Pierce Hall and Cruft, as well as on Massachusetts Avenue in front of Harvard Law School and in front of Gund Hall at the Graduate School of Design.

The BlueBikes location shown on the map at the i-lab is located at the 114 Western Ave parking lot until June.
