Peer Concentration Advisors (PCA) Program

PCAs serve as peer advisors for pre-concentrators (and current concentrators), providing a valuable perspective and helping students to discover additional resources and opportunities.

If you would like to be matched to a PCA, you can do one of the following:

  1. Reach out by email to a PCA with similar academic, career, or extracurricular interests by exploring their bios below.
  2. Get paired with a PCA by filling out the Find my PCA Google Form. While we recognize some students might know exactly what they are looking for, we are happy to help pair you.

If you would like to contact our PCA Co-Captains directly, please feel free to reach out to Veronica Santana ( or Jackson Walker (

If you are interested in becoming a PCA, contact

Veronica Santana (Co-Captain)

Hi everyone! My name is Veronica Santana and I am excited to be a senior in Applied Math. I have a somewhat unusual focus field of Sociology so please reach out with any questions about quantitative social science that you might have! I have worked and am working with professors on campus using my quantitative and qualitative skills in research about police department use of force and student paid work as well as having interned with the ACLU researching educational inequity. Outside of AM I spend a lot of my time on campus working as a math course assistant, being a peer counselor, working on the First-Year Urban Program and petting all of the dogs I see. Some other fun facts, I am a proud Dunster Moose, I’m from Southern California (ask me about why it’s the greatest place on earth), and I am also a proud member of the Mexican-American and LGBTQ+ communities. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, I’m passionate about making sure that everyone knows applied math can be a home for them! Studying STEM as part of an underrepresented community can definitely be hard but please feel that you can reach out for support, I’m always happy to talk about anything :)

Jackson Walker (Co-Captain)

Hey y'all! My name is Jackson Walker and I'm a senior in Dunster House (obviously studying applied math) and I'm super excited to be an AM PCA this year. I'm originally from the bustling metropolis of Wilton, Connecticut (a small town in Southwestern CT) but am technically now from Southern Florida. Outside of the classroom, I work on the steering committee for FOP and serve as a PAF! My application field in AM is biological sciences, and in addition to my concentration I am also a premed student. Balancing AM and premed requirements may sound challenging, but it's definitely a great option for people interested in the more quantitative side of medicine. Since my sophomore year, I've worked on computational biology research with Sean Eddy on the application of neural networks to protein homology (or protein relation)! As a bit more about me, I identify as a low-income student who is also Black, gay and latinx (Domincan + Colombian)! I know that studying AM as a member of an underrepresented group in STEM can be really intimidating so please reach out if you feel that you'd be out of place studying AM. And generally, I love people and advising, so please feel that you can reach out about anything AM adjacent :)

Cate Brock

Hello! My name is Cate Brock, and I am excited to be a senior in applied math with an econ focus field. I have worked with nonprofits related to housing policy and local government, and I am excited about using applied math in public service. I've also worked in a decision science lab. On campus, I spend my time working with Harvard Undergrads for Inclusion in Economics, writing for the Harvard Political Review, and running along the Charles. I'm a happy resident of Dunster House, and I'm from a small town in Indiana. Please feel free to reach out. I am more than happy to talk about anything!

Prasidh Chhabria

Hi! My name is Prasidh Chhabria, and I'm a junior in Eliot House studying Applied Math; I've lived in both the Bay Area in California and Mumbai, India. With my area of application in Biological Sciences, I'm interested in the application of quantitative and computational methods to tackle biological problems, across academia and industry. I'm particularly drawn to problems in statistical inference, machine learning, and modeling, which I've explored through coursework and research (exploring RNA circularization at Novartis and studying quantitative health indicators at the Harvard School of Public Health). Outside of AM, I enjoy exploring Boston and lead a dance group on campus. The AM community has been a source of support, inspiration, and friendship for me, and I look forward to meeting all of you - please reach out if you'd like to talk about AM+bio/chem or anything in general!

Itay Dvir

Hello! My name is Itay Dvir and I am a junior studying Applied Math with a focus field in Economics and I am also doing a minor in Psychology! I love this combination as I feel as though I am getting a much more holistic view of the field of Economics, by diving deeper into the deeper technical skills that are used by Economics all over the world while also understanding the aspects of human behavior that drive our decisions! On-campus I enjoy my work as a Peer-Advising Fellow for First Years, playing club volleyball, being a course assistant for Economics, participating in Consulting with TAMID Group, and being a part of the best house community on campus in Currier! Some other fun facts are that I love ping pong and I am very interested in entrepreneurship so if you ever want to play a match while discussing potential ventures, I am the person for you! I am super excited to be a PCA, so please feel free to reach out about any questions you may have from course selection, to learning more about the major, to exploring possible paths after college! Super excited to meet you all!

Alexis Kline

Hello! My name is Alexis Kline and I am a senior in Mather House studying Applied Math with Economics with a secondary in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. On-campus I am one of the Co-Presidents of Women in Business and am very passionate about inequality issues around women in the workplace and women in STEM fields. This summer I am working in Investment Banking and have worked in other areas of finance for both of the two summers prior, so I am always happy to discuss anything related to recruiting/finance. I am originally from Scarsdale, NY, and spend most of my free time baking (and recently cooking, something I picked up in quarantine), playing tennis or basketball, and reading. I am super excited to be a PCA this upcoming year and am always happy to chat about anything AM-, Harvard-, or life-related, just reach out!

Prashanth Kumar

My name is Prashanth Kumar, but everyone calls me PK. I'm a rising senior in Mather House studying Applied Mathematics with a focus in Biology. I grew up in the beautiful city of Atlanta, where I went to the same small school for 13 years! My hobbies include cooking, eating Chick-Fil-A, and making pottery. At Harvard, I am the manager of the Varsity Men's Tennis Team, a PAF, a tutor with the PBHA CHANCE program, and I am currently applying to medical school. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, watching Netflix, and playing sports of all kinds!  If you have any questions about being a student athlete in AM, an Am-Ec focus, or anything else, please feel free to reach out to me! I would love to get to know more people in the concentration, and I want everyone to feel welcomed and supported by the AM community.

Emory Sabatini

Hi all! My name is Emory, and I am a junior in Quincy House originally from Newton, Massachusetts studying Applied Math on the Biological Sciences track. Outside of my concentration, I am completing premedical requirements, doing computational data analysis in an evolutionary genetics lab, serving as a PAF, and working as a course assistant for Math 21a and 21b. Academically, I am interested in studying human anatomy/physiology, infectious diseases, and more generally the intersections between mathematics and medicine. If you are also interested in any of these topics or want to know more about AM/Bio feel free to reach out and I would be happy to talk!

Claire Shi

My name is Claire and I'm a senior in Winthrop studying Applied Math with Economics.
