Peer Concentration Advisors (PCA) Program
PCAs serve as peer advisors for pre-concentrators (and current concentrators), providing a valuable perspective and helping students to discover additional resources and opportunities.
If you would like to be matched to a PCA, you can do one of the following:
- Reach out by email to a PCA with similar academic, career, or extracurricular interests by exploring their bios below.
- Get paired with a PCA by filling out the Find my PCA Google Form. While we recognize some students might know exactly what they are looking for, we are happy to help pair you.
If you would like to contact our PCA Co-Captains directly, please feel free to reach out to Julian Schmitt (email@example.com) or Shi Le Wong (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you are interested in becoming a PCA, contact email@example.com.
Julian Schmitt (Co-Captain)
Hi! I’m Julian, an off-cycle Winthrop junior studying (drumroll) applied math! My focus field in Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS) has taken me to Iceland, Montana and the Mountain West, and (remotely) to the Pacific Northwest and Southern California. As a statistics secondary, I have been increasingly drawn into data analysis and statistical modeling, especially for earth systems. Originally from Middlebury, VT, I am a member of the varsity Nordic ski team and have previously enjoyed playing trumpet with the Harvard Jazz Band and Pops Orchestra. I’m thrilled to be a PCA this year and am excited to meet you! Feel free to reach out with any questions about classes, research, or gap semesters or to grab lunch and talk about EPS!
Shi Le Wong (Co-Captain)

My area of concentration is Psychology, but I am also interested in general social sciences and biology/chemistry! I am an international student from Singapore, and have explored internships in the public sector. I also have work experience in environmental conservation and will be exploring sustainability-related careers. Feel free to reach out if you think I may be able to help you; I’ll be happy to chat about anything!
Hi! My name is Ishan and I’m in Winthrop house - swing by for some tea! In AM, my focus fields are economics and Jefe’s. On campus, I’m a member of the Harvard College Debating Union. In my free time, I like to play tennis, watch movies, and play board games. I’m excited to be a PCA this year!
Hello! My name is Haruka and I am a junior in Winthrop House. My area of application is government, and I am also pursuing a secondary in global health & health policy as well as a language citation in Japanese. On campus I am primarily involved in research related to the carceral system, and have done work in federal advocacy, global and public health, racial justice, and consulting. The plan is to attend law school and hopefully find some sort of intersection of it all. Happy to chat all things AM/Gov, Harvard funded-internships, and securing internships outside of Harvard both domestically and abroad via email or over coffee.
Hi! My name is Chelsea Chen and I am a senior in Lowell studying Applied Math in Economics and CS with a secondary in Music. My experience ranges from research to startups to finance - I'm happy to chat about any and all! On campus, I am the Director of Finance for Harvard Consulting on Business and the Environment (CBE). My interests include writing/producing music, going to museums, and finding amazing hole-in-the-wall restaurants. Excited to meet more friends in AM! (:
Hi! My name is Prasidh Chhabria, and I'm a senior in Eliot House working towards the A.B./S.M. in Applied Math. With my area of application in the biological sciences, I'm interested in the responsible use of computational methods to solve problems in human health. I'm particularly drawn to statistical inference, machine learning, and modeling, which I've explored through coursework, teaching, and research (from labs at Harvard to Novartis). I look forward to meeting all of you; please reach out with questions or if you'd like to chat!
Hey everyone! My name is Connor Dowd, and I am an off-cycle junior living in Leverett House and concentrating in Applied Math with an area of application in biological sciences. I am particularly interested in how mathematics and computation are used in the healthcare industry, and my work at Harvard both inside and outside of the classroom has mostly revolved around that field. Around campus I am also involved in the Crimson, the International Relations Council, and the Harvard Ed Portal. I’ve had the opportunity to conduct research and travel abroad through different Harvard-funded programs, so I would be happy to chat about those possibilities in addition to the AM concentration. Please reach out with any questions at all, or just to say hello!
Hello! My name is Itay Dvir and I am a senior studying Applied Math with a focus field in Economics and I am also doing a minor in Psychology! I love this combination as I feel as though I am getting a much more holistic view of the field of Economics, by diving deeper into the deeper technical skills that are used by Economics all over the world while also understanding the aspects of human behavior that drive our decisions! On-campus I enjoy my work as a Peer-Advising Fellow for First Years, playing club volleyball, being a course assistant for Economics, participating in Consulting with TAMID Group, and being a part of the best house community on campus in Currier! Some other fun facts are that I love ping pong and I am very interested in entrepreneurship so if you ever want to play a match while discussing potential ventures, I am the person for you! I am super excited to be a PCA, so please feel free to reach out about any questions you may have from course selection, to learning more about the major, to exploring possible paths after college! Super excited to meet you all!
Hello! My name is Rachel Lim and I am a senior studying Applied Math with a focus in Economics in Cabot House. I am originally from Briarcliff Manor, NY. On campus, I am involved in a number of finance clubs such as Smart Women Securities, the Harvard Financial Analysts Club, and the Charles River Growth Fund. I am also a member of the Harvard Women’s Varsity Tennis team. In my free time, I love to bake, read, and play the piano and violin. The AM community has so much to offer, with some of the kindest professors and students on campus (not to mention AM lunches)! I’m so excited to be a PCA this semester, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to chat about AM/Ec courses, finance/recruiting, being a student athlete in AM, or anything at all!
Hello everyone! My name is Courtney Rabb, and I am a senior in the AM concentration. My area of application is Economics, and I love applying quantitative analysis to many different fields! I'm from Nashville, TN and am in Eliot House. During my time at Harvard I have been very involved in house life, varsity athletics, and tutoring. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, watching Netflix, and playing various sports! If you have any questions about an Am-Ec focus, finance recruiting, general Harvard life, or anything else, please feel free to reach out to me!
Hi! I’m Hana, a junior and a happy little tree in Currier House. I was born in Japan but grew up in France, and study AM in Government. AM/Gov is an awesome combination: my friends and family think I will be counting votes in elections after graduation but it is a lot more interesting than that.
On campus, I lead the Undergraduate Law Review and the College French Club. I have experience interning at law firms and working as a research assistant in the government department. This summer, I will be doing a finance internship. I would be happy to chat about any of these experiences, the government application area, the international student experience, or anything else that is on your mind.
Hi there! My name is Andrew, and I'm an off-cycle junior/senior (May or Dec 2022 graduation) in Leverett House. My area of specialization within AM is Economics, and my current planned secondary is Energy & Environment (though at various points it has been physics, CS, or stats). In my academic life, I've dabbled in research in several fields, including biophysics, computational social science, and development economics. I've also done internships in international development and quantitative finance. On campus, I have been involved in AADT, PBHA's Chinatown Citizenship program, and STAHR (the student astronomy club). I'm happy to chat about research (finding a lab, getting funding, considering grad school), recruiting, deciding an area of focus, or anything else that is on your mind as you are exploring your interests.
Hey y'all! I'm Michael, a senior in Winthrop house, and it's my second year as a Peer Concentration Advisor. I study a mish-mash of Applied Math, Ec, CS, and Stats, and would love to talk courses in any of these fields. I'm primarily interested in market design and data, and I've previously worked at the Council of Economic Advisers, QuantCo, and Blackstone Data Science. On campus, I make a lot of music (with the Veritones, Songwriters' Collective, and FAP) and box, and would be happy to chat about any of these experiences. Welcome to a super welcoming community, and can't wait to meet you!
Hi! I’m Olivia, and I’m returning from a gap year as a junior in Quincy House. My Applied Math application area is currently Data Science and may shift based on where my exploration of various electives takes me this year. My interests lie in the broader framework of connections between STEM and the human experience. I can also speak to years of research experience in both academia and industry. On campus, I’m involved in a cappella, Studio Art Society, and Theta. Peer mentorship has consistently helped me during my time at Harvard, so I’d love to do the same! Feel free to reach out with questions or to chat :)
