Air Drag Effects

As almost an aside, Taylor looked into the asymmetrical (about the plane of maximum diameter) form of some of the water bells he photographed. Taylor postulated that it was likely due to the decrease in the velocity due to air drag. Using calculations from Professor L. Howarth, he showed that the air friction effects became more important with greater initial slope.
