You are invited to join the SEAS Committee Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging. The committee’s charge is to create a long-term (e.g., five-year) strategic plan that is based on qualitative and quantitative data and evidence-based best practices, for increasing the diversity of SEAS and cultivating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all stakeholder groups.
The full committee and the subcommittees are comprised of students, faculty, staff, and postdoctoral researchers. You can find a full list of committee members on the About Us page.
We are currently seeking the following additional members for both the full committee and subcommittees.
An individual can choose to serve on one or more of the subcommittees without serving on the full committee. Membership is open to all members of the SEAS community. You can find the list of sub-committees here.
Sub-committee Commitment: Members of the subcommittees are asked to serve for one year with the option to renew membership at the beginning of the following academic year. Meetings will take place 1-2 times a month.
Full Committee Membership
To ensure equal representation of all stakeholders of the SEAS community, the full committee is currently only seeking members of the following groups:
- Faculty (2)
- Postdoctoral Researchers (2)
- Undergraduate Student (1)
Full Committee Commitment: Members of the full committee are asked to serve for two years unless their appointment at the school is for a shorter time. They are also expected to serve on at least one subcommittee. Meetings take place biweekly for one hour with the weeks in between set aside for reading or presentations by an expert who will lead a session for the committee.
If you are interested in serving on one or more of the subcommittees or the full committee, please contact the SEAS Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at email@example.com.
