A natural engineer

We are pleased to welcome Colleen Hansel, Assistant Professor of Environmental Microbiology

Hansel studies the microbial ecology and biogeochemical mechanisms of Mn(II) Oxidation. She earned her Ph.D. from Stanford; her M.S. from the University of Idaho; and her B.S. from California State University-Sacramento. Prior to coming to Harvard, she served as a postdoctoral scientist at Stanford in Molecular and Microbial Ecology.
