2 alumni startups featured in NetworkWorld

Two startups co-founded by SEAS alumni were featured in a recent article in NetworkWorld that highlighted the HUBWeek Demo Day event in Boston.

The article featured Pilot Analytics, co-founded by Alan Xie (pictured), A.B. ’16 (computer science) and Analytical Space, co-founded by Daniel Nevius, A.B. ’11 (electrical engineering and computer science). Pilot Analytics is a web-based data analytics tool designed to help movie studios predict how much money a certain movie might earn. Analytical Space is creating a network of in-space relays that utilize laser communications to help satellite operators retrieve data in a simpler and more cost-effective manner.

Demo Day, held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston on Sept. 30, showcased more than 100 of the highest impact startups in the Boston area. The event was a part of HUBWeek, a Boston-area event co-sponsored by Harvard University that celebrated innovation at the intersection of art, science, and technology.
