Hanif Mamdani, S.M. ’88 (applied sciences) was recently profiled by financial news outlet Bloomberg. As head of alternative investments at Royal Band of Canada’s RBC Global Asset Management, Mamdani is responsible for C$6 billion ($4.6 billion) in assets.
His C$1.5 billion PH&N Absolute Return Fund returned 31 percent this year and won an award for best combined 10-year return and sharpe ratio, a measure of risk-adjusted return, at the 2016 Canadian Hedge Fund Awards.
