Lanzillo travels to Africa on Trustman Fellowship

Joseph Lanzillo, S.B. ’16 (environmental science and engineering) will spend the next year living and working in the east African nation of Tanzania as a Benjamin Trustman Fellow.

Lanzillo, who was awarded a Trustman Traveling Fellowship, plans to work with solar companies, biogas projects, and clean energy programs to learn about the growing energy needs of a developing economy. He will also teach, coach, and play soccer through Coaches Across America, an education organization that uses sports to drive social change.

Established by Benjamin A. Trustman, A.B. ’22, JD ’25, the fellowship offers an opportunity for travel with the intention of furthering the education of students who show great promise of long-range contributions to society.
