Poage publishes book on adding meaning to everyday work

Jim Poage, Ph.D. ’72 (applied mathematics) has published a book, "Flair: Design Your Daily Work, Products, and Services to Energize Customers, Colleagues, and Audiences," with his daughter, Jennifer Poage who works in fashion design.

The book, published by Maven House Press (2016), is about how to add flair, pizzazz, and excitement to one’s everyday work, including technical work, and to products so they have an emotional pull that energizes audiences and customers. Poage works as an independent consultant in Lexington, Mass., on integrating technology and humans in the workplace to conduct work tasks efficiently together.
