Wilson to speak at MCLA commencement

Stephanie Wilson, S.B. ’88 (engineering sciences), will be the commencement speaker at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts 119th commencement on May 12.

She will also receive an honorary doctor of science degree.

Wilson, a native of western Massachusetts, became the second African American woman to go into space in 2006. She flew on three space shuttle missions and her 42 days in space are the most of any African American astronaut.
