Nowlin profiled by Columbia Daily Herald

Bill Nowlin, S.M. ’90, Ph.D. ’91 (applied mathematics) has been featured by the Columbia Daily Herald.

The article chronicles Nowlin’s life and career, from his high school days to graduate research in signal processing at SEAS to his work in surgical robotics. Nowlin currently serves as managing principal for data science at Intuitive Surgical, a Silicon Valley firm that develops robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery.
