Rachel Zax, A.B. ’12 (math, secondary in computer science) and Harry Lewis, A.B. ’68, Ph.D. ’74 (applied math), Gordon McKay Professor of Computer Science at SEAS, have coauthored a computer science textbook, “Essential Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science.”
The book covers the mathematical concepts that are required for computer science, but not necessarily taught in a standard math curriculum. It is intended for Lewis’ class Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science (CS 20), and other similar college courses.
