"I’m passionate about engineering because technology is constantly changing our lives. As engineers, we can understand the mechanisms behind emerging technologies, and we become empowered to make sure these new changes help people and reduce structural inequality. With my degree, I plan to pursue systems security research to build new types of systems that prioritize user privacy, faster performance, and enhanced functionality."
