Student Elizabeth Cordoves

NAME: Elizabeth Cordoves

CONCENTRATION: Biomedical engineering

GRADUATION YEAR: 2020

"My biomedical engineering degree has introduced me to how the scientific process enhances our treatment of human disease, motivating me to unite careers in medicine and engineering as a physician-scientist. Specifically, I hope to apply my training toward engineering regenerative and biocompatible grafts for surgical use. In developing materials that capitalize upon our innate capacity for tissue growth and remodeling, I believe it is possible to enhance the quality of interventional therapies, while absolving the need for several reparative surgeries throughout one's lifetime."
