Sanger named chief scientific officer at CHOC Children’s

Terence Sanger, A.B. ’85, S.M. ’86 (applied mathematics), has been appointed vice president and chief scientific officer at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).

Sanger will oversee research operations and serve as CHOC’s institutional official for research, with responsibility for ensuring the health, safety, and responsible conduct of research. He will also be responsible for accelerating the growth and development of the CHOC research team.

He previously served as provost and professor in the departments of biomedical engineering, neurology and biokinesiology at the University of Southern California, and as an attending neurologist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
