Clifford P. Brangwynne, Ph.D. ’07, chairs scientific advisory board
Life sciences venture firm Apple Tree Partners (ATP) has co-founded Nereid Therapeutics with leading biophysicist Clifford P. Brangwynne, Ph.D. ’07 (applied physics).
Nereid Therapeutics is dedicated to discovering new disease treatments by applying pioneering research and technologies in biomolecular condensates, and launches with a $50 million Series A funding commitment from ATP.
Brangwynne, Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Princeton University, studies the fundamental principles underlying biological organization, with a particular interest in membrane-less organelles/condensates which form within living cells. He won a MacArthur Foundation “Genius Grant” in 2018.
