Grace Kim, S.B. '23, has been named to the Aviation Week Network’s Class of 2024 20 Twenties list. Founded in 2013, the 20 Twenties recognizes 20 students worldwide who are pursuing degrees in science, technology engineering and mathematics, and plan to work in aerospace in the future. The program helps connect young aerospace engineers with a network of technical experts, hiring managers, and fellow students from around the world. Kim was honored at the Aviation Week Network’s 66th Annual Laureate Awards and Dinner on March 14 in Washington, D.C.
Kim concentrated in engineering sciences at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), with a focus on aerospace and robotics. She served as project manager and later chief engineer for the Harvard Satellite Team, part of the Harvard College Students for the Exploration and Development of Space organization. For a senior capstone project, Kim was one of several students that worked on the two-year NASA Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) project, designing a satellite to accompany the Europa Clipper mission. Her project won a Dean’s Award for Outstanding Engineering Project.
Kim is now pursuing a master’s degree in advanced computer science as a Marshall Scholar at the University of Cambridge in England.
