The Office of Events is responsible for the planning of high-impact, school-wide events in support of key initiatives. Working closely with the Dean’s Office, as well as other offices within the school, we strive to further the SEAS mission through community building and engagement.
Key events supported by the Events Office include:
- Events hosted by the Dean such as faculty retreats, all-hands meetings, SEAS-wide celebrations
- Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony
- Commencement Reception
- Design & Project Fair
- Select large-scale events hosted by the SEAS Office of Academic Programs, such as Graduate Student Open House, Visitas, Advising Fortnight, Advising Fairs, as well as others
- Special Dean’s Office events that involve the University’s senior leadership and visiting dignitaries
In addition, we serve as a resource to individuals within the SEAS community by providing advice and counsel to enable them to efficiently and effectively run area- and office-based events and meetings.
