Sengeh named first chief innovation officer of Sierra Leone

David Sengeh, A.B. ’10 (engineering sciences – biomedical engineering) has been appointed the first chief innovation officer for the African nation of Sierra Leone.

Working in the Office of the President, Sengeh will facilitate and support a vibrant national innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem for both public and private sectors.

He most recently worked as a manager at IBM Research Africa, where he led a team developing health care solutions using artificial intelligence and machine learning.
