  • Senior Research Fellow in Atmospheric Chemistry

I am a Senior Research Fellow in Atmospheric Chemistry at Harvard in the Biosphere-Atmosphere Exchange Group. The overall focus of my research is understanding exchange of carbon and air pollutants with the biosphere. Current projects include:

(1) Operation of the AmeriFlux long-term observatory of forest-carbon and pollutant exchange at the Harvard Forest Long-term Ecological Research site,

(2) Making observations of greenhouse gas and air pollutants at a rural Chinese site in collaboration with Tsinghua University as part of the Harvard China project, with a recent emphasis on using modeling to distinguish the contributions of vegetation and combustion to variability in observed CO2.

(3) Participating in the Arctic-Boreal Vulnerability Experiment with a project to quantify how CO2 and CH4 exchange in the arctic is responding to climate change.
