Please see below for information regarding COVID-19 and the Summer 2022 REU program. We will try to keep this page as up to date as possible if any new information becomes available.
We anticipate that the REU 2022 program will offer mostly in-person projects and a limited number of remote projects. We will offer free on-campus housing for participants. Seminars/workshops will be a combination of in-person and virtual.
Tentative program dates are Tuesday, June 7, 2022 – Friday, August 12, 2022.

Yes, students will be housed on-campus in Summer 2022.
We are excited that we will be able to offer on-campus housing for Summer 2022. Because of the complex nature of housing in the Boston/Cambridge area, we are unable to directly assist in finding housing. There are many online resources for securing housing if you choose to live off-campus, including https://www.harvardhousingoffcampus.com/.
Because of the complexity of visa, stipend, and travel restrictions due to COVID-19 in 2022, we are unable to host international students for either remote or in-person projects, unless they are already on an F-1 visa and currently living in the US.
